UVM Children’s Hospital’s Biggest Fundraiser Kicks Off for 2022

Big Change Roundup supports vital services during tough times

Vermont Business Magazine The annual Big Change Roundup for Kids is officially underway. Over the next five weeks, from March 28 to April 29, civic organizations, community members, businesses and key partners, including the New England Federal Credit Union, Maplefields and Med Associates, Inc., will gather donations to support the specialist care and life-saving services provided. at the University of Vermont Children’s Hospital. The program is the largest annual fundraiser for the nonprofit medical center and is a joint project of 98.9 WOKO-FM and UVM Children’s Hospital.

“The programs, services, and equipment funded, thanks to the many people who contribute to Roundup, are the reason we can continue to provide the high-quality, child-friendly, family-centered pediatric care that makes our children’s hospital UVM such a special place for the thousands of young patients in Vermont and upstate New York who need us to be there for them every year,” said Lewis First, MD, Chief of Pediatrics.

Funds raised last year supported innovative and essential programs including: social support services for needy or food insecure children, mental health support for families of children with chronicles, children’s life programs to help bring smiles to children’s faces, and emergency equipment that has helped save lives.
