Portillo’s will open its first pickup restaurant only in February

Fast food chain Portillo’s has announced that it will host the grand opening of its first-ever Portillo’s Pick Up restaurant, located at 1444 N. Larkin Avenue in Joliet, Illinois, on February 1, 2022. The restaurant officially opens to the public in 10: 30h.

Unlike traditional restaurants, Portillo’s Pick Up will not have an indoor dining area. Instead, the 3,750 square foot restaurant will feature three drive-thru lanes as well as a pickup area for orders placed on portillos.com and through the Portillo app. To make it even faster for customers who order in advance, one of the three lanes is dedicated to picking up pre-orders. The chain will also offer delivery and catering from the new Joliet restaurant.
