HBO Max removes even more original content

HBO Max is removing even more original content, with the streamer planning to remove over 36 titles this week.

Many netizens were quick to point out that most of the removed titles are anime series, with Summer Camp Island creator Julie Potts speaking out on her removal.

“We worked for 5 years to make 100 episodes of animation. We worked late into the night, we let ourselves go, we were a family of hard-working artists who wanted to do something beautiful, and HBO MAX pulled them all like we were nothing. Animation ain’t nothing!” Jar tweeted.

The host added, “And we’ve been working through the pandemic to do 20 linear episodes which are our best work yet. I can’t wait for you to see them. You’ll see them! I’m not going to rest!”

Last month, the streaming platform quietly released six Max Original movies: Moonshot, Locked Down, Superintelligence, Charm City Kings, An American Pickle, and The Witches 2020.

“As we strive to bring our catalogs of content together on one platform, we will be making changes to the content offering available on both HBO Max and Discovery+. This will include removing certain content from both platforms. “The company said this week. “At the same time, we’re already starting to pull together our catalogs of content, like the launch of the new CNN Originals hub on Discovery+ and a curated collection of Magnolia Network content coming soon to HBO Max. “
