Ebony Launches Ebony Studios Media Content Division




New workshop



A heritage media brand diversifies with the creation of EBONY STUDIOS, a new production company for EBONY magazine. The company plans to develop and produce content for film, television, podcasts and digital platforms, with music industry veteran and former head of distribution UNINTERRUPTED, LLC TY CAMERON as division president. , reporting to CEO MICHELE GHEE and NATHANIEL CALLOWAY as Sr Creative Executive.

GHEE said: “The name EBONY is synonymous with black culture, accumulating over 75 years of history chronicling black life and black perspective. With the launch of EBONY Studios, we are well positioned to harness these attributes which are organically an important part of the brand identity, allowing us to create a home for black creators and a diverse universe of content to market in a new, exciting and very real way.”

The studio is launching with a feature documentary about the aftermath of KOBE BRYANT’s death, “SINCERELY, LOS ANGELES”, directed by PATRICK GREEN and produced with FALKON ENTERTAINMENT and SOMEONE GREAT PICTURES.
