Bluff & Vine Magazine Calls for Article Submissions on Finger Lakes

Whether you’re a third-generation resident or someone who summers here, you likely have a story to tell about your time in the Finger Lakes. Local literary magazine Bluff & Vine wants to read and share this story.

Editors Alex Andrasik and Bethany Snyder are looking for fiction, nonfiction, memoir and poetry for their sixth issue, which will be released in fall 2022.

“With each issue, we share new voices and new perspectives,” says Andrasik. “Everyone who loves this area has something unique to say about it. We are honored to share this with our audience.

Submissions must be 5,000 words or less and relate to the Finger Lakes region. Poets are invited to submit up to five poems at a time. For more information on submissions, visit bluffandvine.com/submissions/.

Snyder notes that in addition to the written word, she and Andrasik are also seeking submissions for the cover of issue six.

“There is so much beauty in the Finger Lakes, and we love being able to show it off with our blankets,” she says. “What hidden gems of the region will we see this year? We can’t wait to find out.

Previous covers have featured photographs, paintings and broken glass mosaics.

The submission period for issue six ends September 15, 2022. For more information on Bluff & Vine, visit bluffandvine.com/ or email [email protected]
