One of the oldest insurance companies in the United States, Pekin Insurance was founded in 1921 and recently celebrated its centennial. Originally launched as a solution to pre-war auto insurance, the company has grown and expanded its offerings in the P&C market.
More recently, she was tasked with taking on the challenge of digitally transforming her business processes, as well as introducing lean and agile principles into her IT operations. With a strong culture of progression and innovation, Beijing Insurance has made extraordinary progress on this journey, advancing new IT initiatives while launching cutting-edge products and services.
Bingham joined the company in late 2021, assuming the role of VP and CIO. His responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of Beijing Insurance’s IT department. She works closely with the business to achieve key results and priorities in line with Beijing Insurance’s strategic goals and objectives.
With an impressive career before joining Pekin Insurance, Amy spent 21 years at the number one P&C insurer in the United States: experiences, exposing me to new facets of IT and the organization as a whole. As a result, I developed a real experience in IT. »
She has led delivery efforts for all product lines and has extensive experience in test management. She also led the area of IT risk and compliance, working closely with information security. Another area of expertise is infrastructure leadership and management of two very large data centers in the United States.
Later, she led technology initiatives in sales and marketing ‒ another aspect that provided her with specialist knowledge of the customer service environment.
She says, “When I think about my background, I intended to advance my career along the path of exposing myself to a broad experience in IT. And I think that positions me very well because I came to Beijing Insurance to lead the CIO role. I feel like the IT people here appreciate the wide range of experiences I bring and they see that I can relate to their roles and work. »
